Privacy notice

FlipCatalog is a directory site, and our default posture is to collect as little data about visitors as we can get away with while still being able to run the site responsibly. This page describes what we collect, why we collect it, how long we retain it, and what choices you have.

We log standard request metadata at the web-server level: the requesting IP address, the page that was requested, the user agent, the referrer, and a timestamp. This data is used for two purposes only: to detect and mitigate automated abuse (such as scraping that overwhelms the directory), and to produce aggregate traffic reports that inform editorial priorities. We do not sell this data, and we do not combine it with third-party data sets.

We use a privacy-conscious analytics provider that does not set persistent cookies and does not build cross-site profiles. Page-level metrics are aggregated and used to decide which tool entries deserve more frequent re-checking and which guides need expansion.

Some pages on FlipCatalog include third-party advertising slots. When ads are served, the ad provider may set its own cookies and process limited interaction data under its own privacy policy. We label ad slots clearly in the page source so that ad-blocking tools can recognize them, and we never inject ads into the substantive content of a tool entry or how-to guide.

If you contact us by email, we retain the message for as long as we need it to follow up, typically up to two years for editorial correspondence and seven years for invoices and payment records. You can request deletion of personal data at any time by writing to privacy@flipcatalog.example. We will respond within thirty days.
